JOHN HEMSTOCK

John Hemstock is the Chief Human Resources Officer at Compeer Financial. John leads the Human Resources, Corporate Communications and Enterprise Data Management teams. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in International Management from Gustavus Adolphus College, and his Master of Arts degree in Industrial Relations from University of Minnesota – Carlson School of Management. John is also a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
John has more than 30 years of experience in human resources management working for ATK/Alliant TechSystems, AgriBank FCB, HickoryTech Corporation, AgStar Financial Services and Compeer Financial. He’s served in various leadership positions in human resources management since 1998 and previously served in executive leadership positions for marketing and business technology.
John and his wife, Kris, live in Mankato, Minn., and have two sons and one daughter. He enjoys spending time at his family cabin on Pelican Lake, shade gardening and traveling.
JEFF HOUTS
Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer & Chief Credit Officer,
FCS Financial
Jeff Houts is Executive Vice President, COO and CCO of FCS Financial. He oversees both the credit and the operations of the Association to support effective stability and growth. He has served as a Business Leader for the CTC Collaboration group for over a decade.
Jeff has over 40 years of experience in both agriculture and commercial lending. He was raised on a multi-generational diversified crop and livestock farm in rural Missouri.
Jeff began as a Production Credit Association loan officer in rural Missouri. After a decade with Farm Credit Jeff left the System and spent 9 years in commercial banking with Bank of America. Jeff returned to Farm Credit and cooperative structure in 1999. He graduated with an Agribusiness and Animal Science degree from Northwest Missouri State University. Jeff and his wife Laura reside in Jefferson City, Missouri.
Travis Jones
President & Chief Executive Officer,
GreenStone Farm Credit Services, Audit Committee Chair
Travis Jones serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of GreenStone Farm Credit Services. He reports directly to the association’s board of directors and provides executive leadership to GreenStone. He is charged with effectively managing the association to fulfill its vision and mission.
Jones began his career in public accounting in 1989 with Deloitte & Touche and joined Republic Bancorp Inc. in 1993. He served a variety of roles before becoming the vice president and accounting administration manager after Republic’s the merger with Citizens Bank in 2006.
Jones has been with GreenStone since 2007, is a certified public accountant, and a graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He is a member of the Michigan Finance Authority board of directors and the Michigan FFA Association board.
CHUCK MILLHOLLAN
Chief Operating Officer,
Farm Credit Mid-America
Chuck serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Farm Credit Mid-America. He has over 25 years of experience in strategic planning, operations management, quality management, project management, program management, and portfolio management. Past positions include Senior Vice President Operational Process Excellence and Vice President Process Improvement and Execution for Farm Credit Mid-America, Director of Program Management for Churchill Downs Incorporated, and Manager of the Applications Engineering Project Management Office for Humana. Chuck also retired from the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant Commander Special Duty Intelligence Officer.
Chuck holds a doctorate in Information Management from Syracuse University, a master’s in Project Management from the University of Wisconsin, an MBA from the University of Florida, a bachelor’s in Management from Southern Illinois University and completed the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking through a partnership with the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School in 2023.
Chuck’s certifications include Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE), and Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE).
JEREMY RENGER
Chief Risk & Information Officer,
AgriBank
Jeremy Renger joined AgriBank as chief risk and information officer (CRIO) in 2022. As CRIO and a member of the AgriBank Executive Leadership Team, Renger has oversight of the Enterprise Risk Management function, Risk and Audit Committee support, Quantitative Risk Management, the Internal Control over Financial Reporting and Business Continuity functions, and vendor management. He also oversees the Technology Strategy and Risk function, Enterprise Data Strategy, and technology vendor relationships.
Renger has more than two decades of experience in financial risk management, most recently as Director of Enterprise Risk Management and Risk Analytics at John Deere Financial, where he has worked since 2008. Earlier he was vice president of Retail Credit Management at HSBC from 2007- 2008 and vice president at Wells Fargo Financial from 2003-2007, and he held previous roles in risk management and business analysis at Wells Fargo Card Services.
Renger has a Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Market Research and Finance as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry, both from the University of Iowa. He completed the Executive Leadership and Risk Management Program at the Risk Management Association.
Jeffrey Swanhorst
Chief Executive Officer,
AgriBank, Board Chair
Jeffrey Swanhorst became CEO of AgriBank in April 2018. A 35-year veteran of the Farm Credit System, he joined AgriBank in 2011 as chief credit officer with responsibility for all credit functions, including Wholesale Lending, Commercial Lending, Credit Review and Credit Risk Management. In addition, Swanhorst served on various System leadership committees, including the System Disclosure Committee and System Credit Work Group. He is also directly involved in communications, on behalf of the AgriBank District, with rating agencies, investors in Systemwide debt securities and other key stakeholders.
Swanhorst previously was senior vice president of credit at CoBank. While at CoBank, he served in credit and relationship management leadership roles beginning in 1999. Prior to that, Swanhorst’s Farm Credit career was in lending and management with the St. Paul Bank for Cooperatives, and he began his career as a lending officer with the Mitchell-Huron Production Credit Association in South Dakota.
Swanhorst has a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Business from South Dakota State University and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin.
Dan Wagner
President & Chief Executive Officer,

Compensation Committee Chair
Dan Wagner is President and Chief Executive Officer of Farm Credit Mid-America.
Dan began his career in 1998 as a software developer at Farm Credit Services of America in Omaha, Nebraska. He left the Farm Credit System to work for Cap Gemini, Ernst & Young, and IBM Global Services before returning to Farm Credit Services of America in 2004. He held various technology leadership positions before becoming that association’s Chief Technology Officer in 2008.
Dan joined Farm Credit Mid-America in June 2012, where he held various leadership positions, most recently overseeing the Association’s business technology, finance, organizational process excellence and security teams as Chief Operating Officer.
He has served on the board of directors at Farm Credit Foundations since 2018.
Dan graduated from Chadron State College with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and information management systems and he obtained his MBA with an emphasis in finance from the University of Nebraska.
Jase Wagner
President & Chief Executive Officer,
Compeer Financial, Board Vice Chair & Audit committee Vice Chair
Jase Wagner is the President and CEO of Compeer Financial. He is responsible for leading the Compeer Financial team in serving member-owners, clients, agriculture and rural America — as outlined by the organization’s strategic priorities. He previously served as the organization’s Chief Financial Officer.
Additionally, Jase serves on the Board of Directors for SunStream Business Services and is the current Chair of the Farm Credit Foundations Trust Committee.
Jase held prior positions as a Vice President with Allied Capital, a middle market junior capital provider in New York, from 2003-2007, and as a Vice President with Deephaven Capital, a multi-billion-dollar multi-strategy hedge fund, from 2007-2009. He graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Accounting and Finance.
He and his wife, Sarah, live in Minneapolis, Minn., and have one son and two daughters. Jase’s hobbies include golfing, spending time with family and enjoying good food.
